Twin Lakes, North of Index, WA
July 29,30 2006 This was a really tough hike and both the dog and I were exhausted by the time we made it to twin lakes. A quick plunge into the icy water turned out to be more refreshment than I was prepared for! The trails leaves from the old mining town of Monte Cristo and climbs past Silver Lake to a high point at 5400 ft. over looking Twin Lakes. Round trip mileage is 17 miles.
